The Majestic Sunset Josephine Silk Scarf is part of the wider collection, My Granny's Garden and is inspired by childhood trips to County Clare, in the West of Ireland with my Mother, Josephine.
It features various botanicals, including the wild Irish Rose, representing the strength and resilience of Irish women, both past and present. This silk treasure also features a curious chaffinch, a frequent visitor to Ireland.
As we are living through unprecedented times of change - this collection is reminiscent a simpler, slower stage of life. The colour peach was selected for its comforting, nostalgic qualities.
This piece can be worn in a multitude of ways including; silk bandana, silk top, silk head wrap, silk face covering or as a silk neck tie.
All illustrations that appear on this piece are hand drawn, imagined from my studio in Dublin 8, inspired by the rich Irish landscape.
