From Sketchbook to Silk is the story of how each collection begins.
Before a piece becomes a scarf, kaftan or textile, it starts quietly — with pencil, paper and a hand-drawn idea. I begin by sketching the motifs that appear throughout my work: roses, birds, butterflies, keys, flowers, mythical creatures and small hidden details that slowly build into a larger story.
Each drawing is created by hand before being developed into a print. Colour plays a huge part in the process. I’m drawn to rich, expressive palettes — soft blues, rose pinks, vivid greens, warm corals and deep, romantic tones that bring each illustration to life.

Once the artwork is complete, it is transformed into silk. This is where the drawing changes again. The fabric gives the illustration movement, softness and light. A rose becomes something that moves with the body. A bird or butterfly appears differently depending on how the scarf is tied, folded or worn.
For me, this transformation is the most magical part of the process. The work begins as a drawing, but it becomes something living — a piece to wear, gift, keep close and carry into everyday life.
Every collection is created slowly and intentionally, with a love of detail, storytelling and craft. From sketchbook to silk, each piece is designed to feel personal, expressive and full of meaning.
